Our terrarium
weThis is our Terrarium after it has settled. We have 2 kinds of moss. Our terrarium is doing well the moss has adapted to the soil and the amount of water it gets. The moss is flowering and seems to be doing very well. We left our terrarium over break and now it is mostly dead. The terrarium has started to grow back a bit and is doing well. -End Log- |
Objective: In this project we made a mini ecosystem to see the cycles of nature such as a cycle of nutrients and carbon exchange... I did not work all we saw were some plants growing a little we were also unable to have animals inside the terrarium.
Materials: Potting soil glass container, sand, and 2 different mosses.
Methods: Place sand into glass container, then dirt, place mosses about 2 inches into the potting soil, continue to water.
Observations: The moss grew a little but not much else happened over the break the plants wilted and never grew back.
Analysis: In order to observe the objective we need to study the ecosystem interactions more thoroughly and make a small ecosystem. Overall I was not pleased with this project I don't think it turned out very well.
